blickwinkel welcomes composer and multi-instrumentalist Francis Plagne to the label with a reissue of Asleep in a Beached Boat, an album originally released on his own Mould/Mouse Museum label in 2021 on cassette.

Gentle melodies create an airy atmosphere, intertwined with tense dialogues between rhythms and textures from a wide array of acoustic and electronic instruments. Stylistically situated somewhere between Rural Objects (Hobbies Galore/Black Truffle) and Udge (Horn of Plenty), the eleven tracks on this album showcase Plagne in his most playful form to date.
