why we love this

øjeRum’s delicate patterns linger in a chamber where bells and strings are suspended mid-vibration in a perpetual dawn. The past seeps into the present, time collapsing into a singular moment.

about the record

Langt Fra Jorden is the result of a collaborative dialogue between Spanish photographer and artist Irene Zottola and Danish musician and artist øjeRum. This project, initiated by IIKKI, took place between June 2024 and November 2024.

øjeRum is the alias of Copenhagen-based musician and collage artist Paw Grabowski. In this guise, he plucks and strums his treated acoustic instruments, creating sounds that at times resemble church bells, angelic harps, or drones. At other times, his work evokes an atmospheric stillness, suspending the listener in the magic of his melodies.
