'Rubber Leaves', a collection of looped solo guitar improvisations, broken and bent through chains of guitar pedals and modular synths, invokes the feeling of jumping into a cool river in a heat-fogged daze. Jonathan Palmer's meandering guitar lines, inspired by Matsuo Basho's minimalist travelogues, and John Frusciante's 'To Record Only Water for Ten Days', bubble and multiply like frogspawn before evaporating immediately into the ether.
