In response to the devastating January 2025 wildfires that have destroyed thousands of homes across Los Angeles and upended the local music community, Leaving Records releases a benefit compilation with 98 tracks contributed by affiliated artists and supporters from near and far, many of whom have lost everything.

The cassette edition includes selected material across three tapes, totaling around 240 minutes of music from Staying, housed in 3CS Norelco cases with full-color graphic obi-bands, full-color photographic labels, and clear cassette shells.

All proceeds will go directly to impacted individuals, supplementing ongoing GoFundMe campaigns and acts of mutual aid. 50% will be meticulously, manually allocated to Los Angeles artists and music colleagues in need, and the other 50% will support displaced Black families and community members affected by the fires, with an emphasis on equitable distribution.

Personal and collective healing, ecological recovery, spiritual transcendence, and radical community have always been at the heart of Leaving. Never in the label’s history has it been so urgently called upon to celebrate and put these principles into action.
