why we love this

An intuitive analysis of mathematical order where harmonics fall into perfect sync and morse code blips settle into a cadence. By deconstructing and reassembling these elements of balance, Felbm presents their own sonic postulate.

about the record

A 38-minute composition of metamorphosing tape loops, musical patterns, and instrumental sketches.

The piece begins with layers of drone loops crafted using tapes and delay pedals. Acoustic instruments such as the flute, saxophone, and bass trumpet then playfully interpret a melody. As the music evolves through key changes, organic elements like birdsong and wind chimes ground the piece in nature. Felbm notes, “The never-ending metamorphosis of matter has always fascinated me – the idea that nothing ever really disappears and everything has already been before, just in different shapes.”

The concept is further explored in the vinyl release, featuring the track spread across both sides. It's cut to the end of each locked groove, creating an essentially never-ending piece that challenges the idea of traditional listening.
