On Sunday, October 6, Oxtail founder Mike Nigro and longtime collaborator Matthew D. Gantt will make a stop in Ghent to celebrate a decade of ambient noise and broken songs with two live sets in-store. cratje from Brussels-based MONTAGE will play music before, after, and between the performances.
Looking forward to joining us? Let us know if you’re coming:
Matthew focuses on sound in virtual spaces and generative systems driven by idiosyncratic technology. His work also explores digital production presets as sonic readymades.
Mike’s solo practice and collaborations draw inspiration from the minimalists, early synthesizer pioneers, and contemporary experimental underground. His work explores the spaces between musicality and noise, movement and stasis, synthetics and organics.
cratje is one half of MONTAGE, the Brussels-based label for esoteric dance music, off-kilter ambient, and Gen-Z noise. For his DJ sets, cratje selects from a wide array of sounds: from the cheesy to the strange, and from uplifting dance to melancholic drones.
