This July, we celebrate the possibilities of collaboration, welcoming two pairs of artists who work closely together.

Dean Peeraer and Saraya Richter of in Venice will spend a week in our space in Ghent, returning to earlier material, following new ideas, and letting one lead into the other through the process of making. On Sunday, July 12, they will share a first glimpse of their work in progress.

On the same day, Elisabeth Klinck and Nils Vermeulen will play music from their new collaborative album, Pioen, released on Blickwinkel.

Tender and at times fragile, the music of Elisabeth Klinck and Nils Vermeulen leaves as much room for silence and space as it does for sound. Comforting passages cushion the melodies, while the vocals intertwine with the instruments as a natural extension of their shared expression. Their tactile approach opens new sonic possibilities through alternative tunings, handmade gut strings, and extended acoustic techniques.

in Venice

in Venice is a collaboration between Dean Peeraer and Saraya Richter. Their practice grows through improvisation and conversation, both with each other and with the people and places they encounter. Field recordings, shared material, and exchanged sound fragments often find their way into their world, extending the idea of collaboration beyond the duo.
