Auspicious Family has teamed up with French sound artist Laure Boer for a collaborative split EP, Wayward Symmetry, created during Boer’s 2019 artist residency in Manila, the home city of Auspicious Family.
Spanning dark ambient, noise, industrial, and Krautrock, Wayward Symmetry shifts through atmospheric and textural experiments, with each artist finding a meeting point between their unique musical styles. The two come together again on the final track, the live recording Brouillard, where a haunting vocal cuts across atmospheric drone and improvised compositions.
