why we love this
This time Jonny Nash abandons his beloved guitar in favor of the piano, which blends delicately with the sounds of a traditional Sundanese two-stringed instrument played by Teguh Permana. Honest pieces, meditative in their minimalistic formula.
about the record
Recorded over the course of March 2020 in Bandung and Amsterdam, ‘Poe’ is a collaboration between Jonny Nash and Teguh Permana, a renowned player of the Tarawangsa, a two-stringed instrument used in the sacred Tarawangsa music of Sunda, Indonesia.
