why we love this
There’s a cinematic quality to the music that captures fleeting tenderness, like a transient love story unfolding in a decaying, antiquated town. Sounds are hopeful, yet brushed by sorrow; dreamy, yet revealing something that, with a touch, will melt into sand.
about the record
Panthera Krause’s Aside The Aeons draws from the dark side of the pool, incorporating Baltic choir inspirations, 80s cinema themes, and lyrical GDR rock. Produced in secrecy over the past 12 months, Krause channels his inner Stereolab to create an enchanting full-length album, entirely on headphones. After sharing these ‘audiobooks’ with close friends, he was persuaded to release them to a wider audience, resulting in Aside The Aeons. Using almost exclusively sounds from a Korg M3R, Roland Aerophone, and JX-03 synthesizer, the record explores a unique musical universe and offers a head trip for the astral plane.
