The Swedish duo, Michel Isorinne and Martin Sander, recorded five beautifully crafted tracks for 'Nedgrävd i naturen' at Bandhagen Airport in Sweden between 2017 and 2020. Focusing on a single instrument for each track, they demonstrated a clear preference for vintage synthesizers.
These delicate sonic journeys feature the Roland System 100, a semi-modular synthesizer built between 1975 and 1979, the legendary Yamaha DX-7, the first digital synthesizer, the Roland SH-101, the Oberheim Matrix 6R, and the Waldorf Microwave, all four hailing from the beloved 1980s.
The compositions of Bandhagens Musikförening are radiant works of quiet minimalism and poetic deliberation. They transport us to an intergalactic, hypnotic world where dreams are vividly colored.
