This September, our Sunday afternoon concert series continues with live sets by Ida Urd & Ingri Høyland and Rindert Lammers.

Across their practices, acoustic and electronic elements move closely together. Synths take on an almost organic quality, while processed sounds remain grounded and tactile. There is a tender minimalism throughout.

Ida Urd and Ingri Høyland will be taking cues from Duvet, their debut album on Balmat. Their way of playing together feels almost conversational, as if sound is a way of gently meeting and responding to one another.

Rindert Lammers, meanwhile, will be moving through airy synths, delicate melodic fragments, and slowly shifting textures in his solo set.

Ida Urd and Ingri Høyland make music that feels like places you can enter—rooms dappled in warm light, wooden floors humming softly beneath footsteps, windows slightly open to a passing breeze. Their musical language flourishes in these spaces, which they carefully shape themselves. Through this attentive process, their practice becomes a way of nurturing space.

Rindert Lammers

Rindert Lammers has a distinctly cinematic sensibility. Inspired by the films of Hirokazu Kore-eda and the music of Hiroshi Yoshimura, he combines ambient jazz, field recordings, and soft synth textures in compositions that unfold like a series of scenes.
