Michiko Ogawa, a performer and composer based in Berlin and California, presents her second solo album, Pancake Moon. Across its two tracks, her delicate interplay of synthesizers, piano, the nostalgic resonance of a Farfisa organ, and the deep overtones of the shō evokes flashing fragments of memory. The sounds recorded in the suburbs of Berlin or Joshua Tree National Park in California feel distant yet intimately personal.
