about the cd

compiler is Simone Pace’s debut full-length project under the stage name omis elegia. Born from a research on an archive of drafts sketched between 2023 and 2025, composed in very different contexts with very different intentions. The source material of scattered ideas and intuitions went through a methodical repetitive workflow. Hence the title: just as a compiler translates code from one programming language to another, the old ideas have been translated and unified into something new.
