On Sunday, October 11, C Bliss and Sirsé join us in store for two live sets rooted in improvisation and a careful attention to texture and space.
Following different threads with an intuitive touch, their music moves between delicate details and more expansive stretches of sound.
C Bliss is PiP and Vincent Heirman. They mostly meet in attics, where they archive sounds and deconstruct grooves through modular synthesis and field recordings. Their live sets bring together layered textures and improvised sequences, with an ear for when to let things run and when to rein them in.
Sirsé is the project of Belgian musician Sophie Schiettekatte. Her improvisations bring together harp, voice, and electronics, sometimes pared back to sparse, intimate passages, sometimes opening out into more enveloping, cinematic stretches of sound. Even at their fullest, there’s a certain fragility to them.
