Elkan's self-titled debut is, in a way, a lifelong album in the making. It captures all the growing pains, internet isolation, losing oneself and finding oneself again, flourishing, and finally releasing. Most of all, it feels like discovering a little portal out of our universe into a new one.
The process of making this music available was like an excavation, as some things don’t reveal themselves easily. Elkan's music is humble and quiet at times, but therein lies its power. It's a journey you don’t quite return from, at least not as the person you once were.
