about the cassette

They met at the shores of the Licca. Oberlin came from the north, via Augusta Vindelicorum, and Xu from the south via Tridentum. Like old travelers on the Via Raetia, but with the exception that their luggage contained some electronic devices—Xu bringing a couple of analog synthesizers and some looper and FX pedals, and Oberlin carrying a 9HE Eurorack along with his sleeping bag on his back and a guitar under his arm.

The nights were quiet, with only the sound of the river flowing and night birds calling from the trees. The two travelers did not want to disturb the silence too much. Instead, they tried to absorb the atmosphere around them and echo it with their electronic and musical tools.

This is the musical diary of their time spent together on this ancient Roman road... and when the two parted, they knew it was not forever. They would continue their journey again, sometime, somewhere.
