On her solo debut as Discovery Zone, JJ Weihl reshapes these humble sonic elements into a palette of chimes, chirps, and shimmers. In her hands, the limitations of default settings become the terrain for unbounded experimentation.

The album cover features a holographic key: a portal, suggesting both entry and enclosure. The holograph is less and more than it seems—a surface containing space, illusion and reality at once. Like the tools in our pockets, a key, a cable, a feather, or an iron weight, it both hides and reveals its power. Remote Control, part documentary, part phantasmagoria, invites the listener in.
