why we love this

Sounds seem to rest on top of one another, softened by time and distance. Strata moves through gentle transformations, holding immensity and stillness in careful balance. Listening feels less like following and more like drifting through.

about the record

Music aged in time, resonating from the surface to the core through layers and sediments of stones, the strata.

Four morning recording sessions, separated by three to ten months, form a chronozone that rests for a time, to which the next session is added, forming the six pieces of the album as six strata.

A slow-moving album that develops landscapes of subtle but continuous evolution, where layers of diverse nature emerge from different procedures, bathed in the calm waters of wabi-sabi, where melancholy, immensity, insignificance, the potential of the unemerged, coexistence, and simplicity converge at the same time.
